The Foundation of Deception: The Obscuring of Truth

The Apostle John writes in his first epistle: "Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son. Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: but he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also." This is crystal-clear language. The Bible leaves no room for interpretation as to who the antichrist is: it is everyone who denies that Jesus is the Christ, the Messiah, the Son of God. Yet in our present age we constantly hear that "all religions teach the same thing," that "we all worship the same God by different names," and that "Jesus was just one of many good teachers." This is the spirit of antichrist in its purest form.

Deception does not come through open opposition. It comes subtly, gradually, by redefining words and obscuring truths. When the word God loses its meaning and becomes an abstract higher power or universal love, we have already surrendered. When Jesus is reduced to a mere teacher or an enlightened master, we have rejected His divinity. When love is redefined to mean accepting everything without truth, we have lost the true meaning of love.

The Apostle Paul warned of this in his second epistle to the Corinthians: "But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him."

Another Jesus is being preached. Another spirit is being given. Another gospel is being proclaimed — and people receive it, because it feels more comfortable, more palatable, more acceptable to modern ears.

The Manipulation of Holy Scripture: The Final Step in Deception

One of the most dangerous strategies of the antichrist is the distortion of the Word of God itself. When Satan confronted Jesus in the wilderness, he did not come as openly godless — he quoted Scripture. He twisted the truth, distorted the words, ripped verses out of context. The same thing is now happening systematically in Western Christianity.

The Biblia Society's UT2020 New Testament published in 2020, the subsequent Psalmit 2024, and the VT28 Bible translations represent this dangerous trajectory. This is not merely a matter of linguistic modernisation or updating — these are theological changes that strike at the very core of Christianity. In critical passages where the Old Testament prophesies the Messiah, the translations have been rendered more ambiguous or open to multiple interpretations. Passages that clearly demonstrate the divinity of Jesus have been translated in ways that leave room for alternative readings. The title of Lord, which in the Greek New Testament is "Kyrios" and refers directly to Yahweh, has in numerous places been replaced with more neutral or vague expressions.

This is no innocent linguistic choice — when you strip away references to the divinity of Jesus, you strip away the very core of Christianity. When you blur the messianic prophecies, you sever the connection to the Old Testament and reduce Jesus to just another figure in history. When you replace holy titles with everyday language, you erase the holiness and transcendence of God. This is subtle, yet supremely dangerous. It prepares the ground for the notion that Jesus is not the only way after all, that Christianity is not unique after all, that all religions ultimately teach the same thing.

Isaiah prophesied: "Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness." When the Word of God itself is being manipulated, this is exactly where we stand: evil is called good — "We are making the Bible more accessible"; good is called evil — "The old translations are outdated and divisive"; darkness is called light — "Modernisation brings illumination"; and light is called darkness — "Traditional doctrine is narrow-minded."

The Ecumenical Movement: The Road to Babylon

The ecumenical movement, which on the surface appears to be an effort to unite Christian churches, is in reality a far broader project. Its aim is not merely to unite Protestant and Catholic churches, but ultimately to melt all religions into one great religious system. This happens gradually, and we will likely witness the final result in 2027. First, Catholics and Protestants pray together. Then Christians and Muslims gather under the banner of "Children of Abraham." Then Hindus, Buddhists, and others are added, because "all spirituality is good" and "we are all seeking the same truth."

The Apostle Paul asks rhetorically in his second epistle to the Corinthians: "Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?" The answer is clear: none. There can be no communion between light and darkness. There can be no concord between Christ and Belial. Yet the ecumenical movement is building precisely this, calling it unity and love.

When a Christian prays alongside a Muslim who denies the divinity of Jesus, that Christian denies his own faith. When a Christian tells a Hindu who worships millions of idols that "we worship the same God," that Christian is lying. When a Christian participates in a ceremony where all religions are placed on the same level, that Christian rejects the exclusive claim of Jesus as the giver of salvation. The Apostle John writes in his second epistle: "If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed: For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds." This is not harshness — it is the guarding of truth. When you compromise with truth, you lose it.

"Children of Abraham" and the Subtle Misdirection

One of the most dangerous deceptions of our time is the idea that Judaism, Christianity, and Islam worship the same God because all three trace their lineage to Abraham. This is often referred to as the Abrahamic religions, and it sounds logical — but it is fundamentally false.

John writes with crystal clarity in his first epistle: "Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father." If you deny Jesus, you do not have the Father, no matter how much you invoke Abraham or God. Jesus Himself said to the Jews who claimed to be children of Abraham: "If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me."

Islam denies the divinity of Jesus, denies His death on the cross, denies the Trinity. It does not worship the same God as Christianity, even though it uses some of the same names. Talmudic Judaism denies the Messiahship of Jesus and does not accept Jesus as the Son of God. It too has made its choice against Him. This does not mean hatred toward these people, but rather the acknowledgement of truth: We do not worship the same God if one side denies Jesus.

Yet political and religious leaders continue to spread this lie. The Pope calls Muslims brothers in Abraham. At religious conferences, speakers invoke shared heritage and the same God. This is the preparation of the ground for that great deception in which the antichrist will come and say: "Here is the God you have all been seeking. Here is the truth that unites you all." And the world will kneel, because it has been taught for decades to believe that all religions are fundamentally the same.

New Age: You Are Your Own God

The New Age movement is another critical component of this hypnosis. It does not come as openly godless, but as spirituality, light, and love. It speaks of Christ consciousness instead of speaking of Jesus Christ. It teaches that "God is within you," that "you yourself are god," that "the core of all religions is the same." This sounds beautiful, inspiring, liberating — but it is exactly the same lie that Satan told Eve in the Garden of Eden: "ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil."

New Age is not just a few exotic yoga courses or crystal therapies. It has permeated the entire Western culture. It is in schools as mindfulness exercises. It is in workplaces as spiritual wellness programmes. It is even in churches under the guise of contemplation and meditation. It teaches that truth is within you, that you just need to find your own truth, that all paths lead to the same summit. This stands in direct opposition to the words of Jesus: "I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."

The Apostle Paul warns in his second epistle to the Thessalonians: "Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved." People perish because they do not love the truth. They want experiences, feelings, power — but not truth. New Age offers all of this without Jesus, without the cross, without the confession of sins. It is Satan's perfect substitute for Christianity.

The Mechanisms of Hypnosis

This hypnosis does not happen overnight. It is a gradual process that exploits repetition, emotional manipulation, and social pressure. When the same message is repeated often enough from different sources — media, education, culture, even churches — it begins to sound like truth. "All religions teach the same thing" is repeated so often that it becomes self-evident. "Do not judge" is repeated so often that speaking the truth begins to feel like sin. "Be tolerant" is repeated so often that discernment begins to look like intolerance.

Emotional manipulation is another key instrument. If you speak the truth about Jesus as the only way, you are labelled a "fundamentalist" or an "extremist." If you refuse to participate in ecumenical events, you are accused of "causing division." If you say that Islam and Christianity do not worship the same God, you are called "hateful" or "Islamophobic." This creates enormous social pressure to conform, to go along, to be "positive," to be "loving" — as the world defines love.

Jesus warned of this: "If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you. If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you." Speaking the truth is not popular. It is not easy. It is not "positive" by the world's standards. But it is the only path to life.

Building Babylon: The One-Religion System

In Revelation, John sees a vision of the great harlot that sits upon many waters. Upon her forehead is written: "MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH." This great Babylon is a blended religious system that merges truth and falsehood, light and darkness, the worship of God and the worship of idols. It looks religious, it sounds spiritual, it speaks of God and love — but it is a harlot that has committed fornication with the world.

We are watching this Babylon being built before our very eyes. The United Nations organises interfaith gatherings where all religions are placed on the same level. The Pope invites the world's religious leaders to Assisi to pray together for peace. The "Chrislam" movement merges churches and mosques into the same building. Schools teach children that all religions are equally valid seekers of truth. The media celebrates a spiritual but non-religious attitude that takes a little from everywhere but commits to nothing.

All of this points toward one thing: preparation for the reception of the antichrist. Revelation prophesies: "And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations. And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world." This power over every nation requires religious consensus. It requires that all religions have already melted into one, that people have already learned to accept many truths, that discernment has already been abolished as harmful and obsolete.

Guarding the Truth: The Necessity of Separation

How, then, do we resist this hypnosis? First, by confessing that Jesus Christ is the only way, truth, and life. No compromises, no alternatives, no other path. The Book of Acts declares: "Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved." This is not arrogance or narrow-mindedness. This is truth — and truth is what sets us free.

Second, by testing every spirit. John teaches: "Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world." When someone speaks of God, ask: Does this person confess Jesus Christ as God come in the flesh? If not, it is not the Spirit of God — no matter how beautifully they speak of love and light.

Third, by separating ourselves. Paul commands: "Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing." This does not mean hatred or contempt toward other people. It means that we make no spiritual compromises. We do not participate in ecumenical events where truth is sacrificed on the altar of unity. We do not pray alongside those who worship a different god. We do not accept the "many paths" teaching, even if it makes us unpopular.

Fourth, by holding fast to sound doctrine. Paul warns Timothy: "For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables." That time is now. People do not want to hear the hard truth about sin, judgement, and salvation through Jesus alone. They want good news without bad news, love without truth, comfort without the call to repentance. Our task is to remain in the Word of God, even if the whole world turns away.

The hypnosis is real. The deception is powerful. The world is being systematically structured to answer to the antichrist. Bibles are being distorted. Doctrine is being diluted. Truth is being obscured. Religions are being merged. Jesus is being reduced to one among many. God is being turned into an abstraction — and people are falling asleep, because it all happens so subtly, so gradually, so in the name of love and unity.

The words of Jesus remain true: "I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." No other way. No other name. No other truth. Only Jesus. Always Jesus. Jesus alone. This truth sets us free, but it also separates us from the world. Jesus said: "Suppose ye that I am come to give peace on earth? I tell you, Nay; but rather division." The truth does not unite everyone. It separates those who love the truth from those who love the lie.

Let us therefore stand firm in the truth, even if it costs us everything. Let us remain in Jesus, even if the whole world turns away. Let us guard the doctrine, even if we are labelled fundamentalists. Let us discern according to the Word of God, even if we are accused of causing division — for Jesus is the only way, and in Him alone is salvation, now and forevermore.

In the name and blood of Jesus, truth prevails. Always. In the end, every knee shall bow at the name of Jesus and every tongue shall confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. The only question is: Will we confess it now in grace, or then in judgement? One can awaken from hypnosis. The truth is still available. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever. Trusting in Him, we are safe — even if the whole world falls to deception.
